Creativity comes from within. I learned this concept from my old, wise coonhound, Duke. At this writing, Duke is nearly 20 human years old. In his youth, Duke was the most creative soul I knew. This dog, this ordinary dog, could do things we never imagined. He was creative in everything he did. This is a dog whose middle name is "Houdini" because he could escape any containment system - cages, houses, fences, and cars. Put a leash on this dog? Forget about it! Yes, this dog would get an idea in his head and run with it. And I wanted to be like Duke. I wanted to take my creative thoughts and turn them into my reality. My creative journey started with my awe for this hound. I began to experiment with scrapbooking because I had a love of photography and the paper colors and patterns plus fun embellishments called to me to create. I've spent nearly 25 years scrapping while growing my love for the technology behind the art. Now, I scrap with fabrics and embroidery. Today, my focus is on creating beautiful, distinctive pieces from colorful, soft fabrics with a touch of embroidery. Stay tuned as we take off on this creative journey together. - Deb Nash, owner/designer
